I kiss her forehead as she incoherently babbles about her day with the babysitter, and I smile as her blue eyes stare into mine.
I'm unaware of it now—I’m too blind and happy to see it, but in the months to come, my life will unravel so rapidly and unexpectedly that I'll wish I never existed.
