“Lacey, I went on a blind date, ditched the date, met another guy and went home with him and had sex with him. That’s the definition of slut.”

“No, it’s not. If you’d gone home with him and let him fuck you in the ass on a first date, then I would call you a slut.”

“Lacey,” my voice was soft, “you’re calling me a slut, then.”

“Oh. My. God. You let him do anal?” she screamed and I couldn’t stop myself from laughing.

“No, but the shock in your voice letting you think that for a few seconds was priceless.”

“You’re horrible.” She giggled, but I could tell that she was no longer worried that I was in a deep, dark depression. “Are you going to be okay?”

“Well, I mean tomorrow’s going to be awkward,” I said sarcastically. “Can you imagine what his face is going to look like when I walk into his office as his new assistant?”

“You’re not going to tell him that his ex-girlfriend hired you?” Lacey asked questioningly.

“Nope,” I said vehemently. “Helen Smith, or H Smith as she calls herself on the contract, is paying a lot of money for me to embarrass him at the office meeting on Saturday. I don’t want to disappoint her.”

“But she lied,” Lacey exclaimed. “Bob told you this was set up by Scott’s friends as a joke, but we know Helen Smith is actually Scott’s ex-girlfriend and I doubt she is doing this as a joke.”

“Well, that’s his tough luck,” I said bitterly. “I’m sure she has her reasons. And good detective work, by the way.”

“It wasn’t hard.” She laughed. “Scott’s Facebook page isn’t private and he has old photos with her.”

“But it was detective work that led you to confirming that Helen Smith was the H Smith. Not many people would have looked up criminal and civil records to match a signature.”

“You know me, I’m thorough.” Lacey laughed modestly. “But we really don’t know what happened between them. Maybe you should tell him what’s going on. Maybe he had a reason to lie.”

“He lied because he wanted to hit it and quit it and maybe he’s trying to get back with Helen,” I said with a groan. “Well, I’ll show him.”

“What are you going to do?” Lacey asked, her voice breathless. “And are you sure you want to? Didn’t you say he was the best sex you’ve ever had?”

“He was all right,” I lied, not wanting to remember just how good he’d been. “And I’m going to do what Helen asked. I’m going to go in and be his assistant. I’m going to pretend I don’t care that he lied and then on Saturday, I’m going to give him the lap dance of his life and embarrass the shit out of him.”

“Oh, Eliza, you sound like you have a plan.”

“Well, you know what they say about plans…” I grinned into the phone. “Don’t reveal them if you want them to come true.”

“Eliza, what are you going to do?”

“Can’t say just yet.” I laughed. “But look, I have to go and choose my outfit for tomorrow. I want to make sure I’m looking my best when Scott Taylor lays eyes on me for the second time.”

My heart was racing as I waited outside of the office. I could see Scott sitting at his desk in a dark navy-blue suit. He was on the phone and scribbling something down on a piece of paper. My heart thudded as I stood there waiting for him to call me inside. I couldn’t wait to see his eyes as he recognized me. I couldn’t wait to see the shock, and to hear the excuses. I couldn’t wait to bend over to pick up a pen so he could stare at my long legs and pert ass. I was going to drive him crazy and I was going to love it. He would pay for using me for a quickie. I knocked on the door and waited.

“Come in,” he called out without looking up. I walked in to the room slowly and stopped a couple of yards away from his desk, waiting for him to look up and see me. He held a hand up as he continued talking on the phone and I could feel my stomach rumbling as I waited for the moment our eyes would meet. “Sorry about that,” he said finally as he hung up the phone. “I’m Scott Taylor,” he said and stood up, his hand outstretched. I watched as his blue eyes widened in shock and his jaw fell open. He looked at me for a few seconds and then smiled widely. “Well, well, well, look who we have here,” he said with a huge grin that had my stomach doing somersaults. I had no idea why he looked so happy to see me. Didn’t he realize he’d now been busted?

“Scott?” My jaw dropped as I faked surprise. “I thought you went away for business?” I said and took a step towards him. “What are you doing here?”

“Elizabeth Jeffries, you’re my new assistant?” His eyes narrowed as he stared at me and I watched as he walked out from behind his desk and over to me. “Now, now, today is my lucky day.” He reached out, grabbed my hands and pulled me towards him.

“What are you doing?” I asked in shock as I felt his warm, hard body against mine.

“Continuing where we left off,” he said with an impish grin as his hands fell to my ass. “I’ve always dreamed of an office quickie.” I stood there in shock, not believing my ears. How could Scott Taylor flirt and act like everything was okay? How could he put his hands on me and think I’d just pick up where we’d left off the other morning—the morning he’d lied to me? Nothing was going as I thought it would. He wasn’t speechless. He wasn’t embarrassed. He wasn’t stumbling with more lies. If anything, he seemed excited—as if all of his dreams had come true. As if I were some sex toy at his disposal. I could feel my face reddening as I grew angry. This was not what I’d expected at all. However, I started to smile as a new idea came to me. A new plan hatched in my mind as his hands squeezed my butt as if he owned it and I looked up at him and smiled.
